Licensing

The University name and insignia may be used on products or in connection with services offered by outside entities only when under license from the University.

The Penn logo and the University shield are graphic manifestations of Penn's reputation and play an important role in communicating and reinforcing the brand identity of the institution. To promote the Penn brand, the University permits the manufacture of apparel and other items bearing its name, trademarks, and images by extending a license to specific vendors who produce a variety of products available for purchase.

Responsibility for overseeing Licensing and merchandising lies with Penn's Business Services Division.
